Filing 3 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Mary M. Rowland: In light of Plaintiff's invocation of diversity jurisdiction as the basis for federal jurisdiction, the Court has reviewed the complaint and determined that a supplemental jurisdictional statement is required in order to confirm this Court's jurisdiction over this matter. See Craig v. Ont. Corp., 543 F.3d 872, 875 (7th Cir. 2008) (court may raise subject matter jurisdiction at any stage of the proceedings). As to both parties, Plaintiff is reminded that "the citizenship of an LLC is the citizenship of each of its members." Thomas v. Guardsmark, LLC, 487 F.3d 531, 534 (7th Cir. 2007). Thus "an LLC's jurisdictional statement must identify the citizenship of each of its members as of the date the complaint or notice of removal was filed, and, if those members have members, the citizenship of those members as well." Id. Therefore, on or before 11/14/23, Plaintiff shall file on the docket a supplemental jurisdictional statement. Mailed notice. (dm, ) |
