Filing 16 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Andrea R. Wood: This case has been reassigned to the calendar of Judge Andrea R. Wood. This Court has been informed by the chambers of the previously assigned judge that Plaintiff sent an email inquiry about obtaining an injunction. Plaintiff is advised that the Court cannot entertain a request for injunctive relief by email. Instead, Plaintiff must file a written motion for a temporary restraining order or preliminary injunction. Based on a review of the docket, it does not appear that Plaintiff has filed any such motion. Any request for temporary or preliminary injunctive relief must satisfy the requirements of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65. Consistent with that rule, Plaintiff must request a hearing on any such motion (Plaintiff may seek a hearing on an emergency basis) and provide actual notice of the hearing to Defendants; the may issue a temporary restraining order without written or oral notice to the adverse party or its attorney only if: specific facts in an affidavit or a verified complaint clearly show that immediate and irreparable injury, loss, or damage will result to the movant before the adverse party can be heard in opposition; and the movant's attorney certifies in writing any efforts made to give notice and the reasons why it should not be required.
