Filing 11 ORDER : The Court previously issued a rule to show cause instructing Petitioner to explain why this case should not be dismissed as moot since he was released from the Cook County Jail. #9 Petitioner's instant response states that he was released from custody and the underlying criminal charges have been dismissed. #10 With Petitioner's release from custody and dismissal of all charges, Petitioner cannot obtain any additional relief in the instant habeas corpus action resulting in mooting of this case. Spencer v. Kemna, 523 U.S. 1, 18 (1998). See also Federal Bureau of Investigation v. Fikre, __ U.S. __, No. 22-1178, 2024 WL 1160994, at *4 (Mar. 19, 2024) (citing Already, LLC v. He was a pretrial detainee at the Cook County Jail at the time he brought this case. Petitioner has subsequently been released and is now living in Chicago, Illinois.
