Filing 14 MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: The Court has reviewed the joint initial status report #13 which indicates that all defendants have been served. Although defense counsel has appeared for 4 of the 6 defendants (and one attorney signed the status report but has not yet filed an appearance), no defendant has responded to the complaint even though Plaintiff's affidavits of service #5 #6 #7 #9 #10 appear to reflect that their respective deadlines to answer have passed. The status report does not address this point, other than a passing reference to a proposed deadline for amendments to pleadings and joinder of parties that should be "28 days after deadline for responsive pleadings." If the answer deadlines have not lapsed, by 9/25/24, Plaintiff is ordered to file a supplemental statement advising of the correct deadline for each defendant. Otherwise, Defendants are required to file motions for extension of time to respond to the complaint that establish good cause for not meeting the initial deadlines and should do so promptly.
