ORDER: Clerk's Office staff reports that the envelope received by the Court on March 20, 2026, from Plaintiff Wendy Tolbert contained a piece of paper with a dead cockroach taped to it, along with paper documents. Plaintiff's complaint likewise explains, "I'm inclosing a dead cockroach and [some] chip paint from the bathroom that has black and green mold on it." Dkt 1, pg. 11. These items are currently being sequestered by the Clerk's Office pursuant to standard operating procedures. Plaintiff is admonished that she may not submit any type of physical property or physical evidence to the Court, other than paper documents, at this point in the litigation. The Clerk of Court is directed to destroy the cockroach and any paint chips that were included in Plaintiff's March 20, 2026, mailing. Any additional submissions of this type will be destroyed without a Court order and may lead to sanctions, including dismissal of this lawsuit. Signed by the Honorable Thomas M. Durkin on 3/26/2026.
