June 12, 2018 Opinion or Order Filing 87 ORDER-WRITTEN Opinion entered by the Honorable Philip G. Reinhard on 6/12/2018: For the reasons stated below, defendants' motion for summary judgment 74 is granted in part and denied in part. Defendants' motion for summary judgment as t o all of plaintiff's claims regarding the incident in the church parking lot against defendants Gulbrantson and Anderson is granted. Defendants' motion for summary judgment as to plaintiff's claims for excessive force and battery again st defendant Gulbrantson regarding the incident outside the hospital is denied. Defendants' motion for summary judgment regarding plaintiff's claims for intentional infliction of emotional distress and failure to intervene is granted. Defe ndants Anderson and Nicosia are terminated as parties. Defendants City of Rockford, and officers Gradke, Brass, and Webster are voluntarily dismissed with prejudice. The court orders the parties to set this case for a settlement conference with Magis trate Judge Iain Johnston within 30 days regarding the remaining claims of excessive force and battery against defendant Gulbrantson for the incident outside the hospital.
