Jensen: Defendant's notice of removal #1 alleges that "[u]pon information and belief, Harper is a citizen and resident of Broadhead, Wisconsin (Rock County)." However, jurisdictional allegations must be made on personal knowledge, not on information and belief. See Am.'s Best Inns, Inc. v. Best Inns of Abilene, L.P., 980 F.2d 1072, 1074 (7th Cir. 1992). Defendant's reference to Exhibit B, the Rock County Tax Database Parcel Details, by itself is not sufficient to allow the Court to determine Plaintiff's citizenship. See Meyerson v. Harrah's E. Chicago Casino, 299 F.3d 616, 617 (7th Cir. 2002) ("[R]esidence and citizenship are not synonyms and it is the latter that matters for purposes of the diversity jurisdiction."). Therefore, by 11/22/2019, defendant must amend its notice of removal to sufficiently allege the citizenship of Plaintiff. Mailed notice (jk, )
