Filing 15 MOTION by Plaintiff Luis Rodriguez to Partly Amend Motion for Preliminary Injunction (jp, ) |
Filing 11 ORDER : Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 is denied without prejudice. If plaintiff wants to proceed with this matter he must: (1) submit a renewed and accurately completed application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis that is certified by a prison official and that includes a copy of his trust fund statements showing activity in his accounts for the entire twelve-month period preceding the certification of any renewed application or pay the full statutory filing fee of $400.00; and (2) show cause as to why plaintiff failed to properly account for his prison income and gift income in the six months prior to filing suit. Failure to fully comply with this order by April 22, 2020, will result in summary dismissal of this case. Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation #4 is denied as premature. See Pickett v. Chicago Transit Auth., 930 F.3d 869, 871 (7th Cir. 2019) (suggesting that motion for attorney representation is premature if filed "so early in the case that it was impossible to tell whether [the plaintiff] could represent himself adequately"). Plaintiff's motion for preliminary injunction #6 is denied without prejudice to renewal once plaintiff resolves his fee status. Plaintiff's motion for service at government expense #8 is denied as premature. Plaintiff may renew the motion, if necessary, once his fee status has been resolved. The Clerk of Court is directed to send plaintiff a blank application to proceed in forma pauperis and a copy of this order. [See STATEMENT] Signed by the Honorable Philip G. Reinhard on 3/24/2020.
