ORDER: Petitioner's motion to voluntarily dismiss this case (Dkt. 3.) is granted. As Petitioner filed his motion to voluntarily dismiss prior to the filing of an answer in this case, the dismissal takes effect immediately by operation of law at the time the motion was filed. Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1)(A)(i); Jenkins v. Village of Maywood, 506 F.3d 622, 624 (7th Cir. 2007). The motion further states that Petitioner seeks to refile his case in the Court's Eastern Division. He has done so. Odom v. Maldonado, No. 23 C 16695 (N.D. Ill.) (Tharp, J.).
