Filing 17
ORDER: Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 is denied without prejudice. If Plaintiff wants to proceed further with this lawsuit, he must: submit (1) a complete renewed application in accordance with this order; (2) ONE amended complaint that clearly and concisely identifies the claim he seeks to assert in this lawsuit; and (3) a written statement that specifically explains why he believes the "imminent danger" exception applies in this case. Failure to fully comply with this order by October 31, 2024, will result in dismissal of this case. The Clerk is directed to send Plaintiff a blank application to proceed in forma pauperis and a copy of this order. Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation #4 is denied without prejudice; this case is in its early stages, and Plaintiff is capable of proceeding without a lawyer for the purposes of addressing the threshold issues identified in this order. See Pickett v. Chicago Transit Auth., 930 F.3d 869, 871 (7th Cir. 2019). Plaintiff's various requests for restraining orders/preliminary injunctions #5 #11 #14 are denied without prejudice as premature. Plaintiff's motion to dismiss Defendant Butler #7 is granted. Plaintiff's motion to disqualify judge #6 is denied; the motion is directed at the judge previously assigned to this case, and, in any event, does not provide a basis for disqualification. See 28 U.S.C. 144. Plaintiff's motions to amend/supplement the complaint #8 #16 are denied but Plaintiff has leave to submit a single amended complaint as directed in this order. Plaintiff's "motion to executive committee" #15 , which requests that "this case be assigned to a Judge who has never had any of Plaintiff's cases at all" is deniednot only because it is moot but because Plaintiff has no right to choose which judge will preside over his case. [See STATEMENT] Signed by the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer on 9/25/2024. Mailed notice (jp, )
