Filing 15 ENTERED JUDGMENT Mailed notice(yxp, )
Filing 14 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Iain D. Johnston: Before the Court is Mr. White's petition filed under 28 U.S.C. 2241 alleging he was being wrongfully delaying his release to a residential reentry program. Dkt. 1. The government responds that Mr. White has now been released to a residential reentry program and so his petition is moot. Dkt. 12. The Court gave Mr. White an opportunity to respond by 8/5/2025, and sent the Court's order to the address of his residential reentry program with directions to forward it to Mr. White. Dkt. 13. But to date Mr. White has not responded. The Court warned that failure to respond would result in dismissal both as being moot in light of the government's unchallenged report that he is already in a residential reentry program, and for failure to prosecute under Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(b). Id. In the absence of any response, this case is dismissed both as being moot and for failure to prosecute under Rule 41(b). Civil case terminated. Mailed notice (yxp, )
Filing 13 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Iain D. Johnston: Status report #12 received and reviewed. According to the report, as confirmed by the Bureau of Prisons' website, Mr. White has been transferred to a residential reentry program. Mr. White's petition therefore appears to be moot. By 8/5/2025 Mr. White shall file a position paper on whether his petition is now moot. Failure to respond by that date will result in dismissal of his petition both because it is moot and for failure to prosecute under Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(b). The clerk is directed to mail a copy of this order to Mr. Gonzalez at the address given on the Bureau of Prisons' website: Eric White, #48432-044, c/o RRM St. Louis, Residential Reentry Office, 1222 Spruce St., Suite 6.101, St. Louis, Missouri, 63101. The Residential Reentry Office is directed to forward the order to Mr. White. Mailed notice (yxp, )
