ORDER: By order dated October 23, 2025, the court denied Plaintiff leave to proceed in forma pauperis and ordered him to pay the $405.00 filing fee or show cause why he should not be required to do so #8 . The court warned Plaintiff that failure to comply by November 24, 2025, would result in dismissal of this case. Plaintiff has not paid the filing fee or otherwise responded to the order. Accordingly, the court dismisses this case without prejudice for his failure to timely pay the fee. See N.D. ILL. L.R. 3.3(f). The Clerk of Court is directed to (1) enter final judgment, and (2) send a copy of this order to Plaintiff at his address of record. This case is closed. Signed by the Honorable Rebecca R. ORDER: Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 is denied for the reasons discussed below. Plaintiff must pay the $405.00 filing fee or show cause in writing why he should not be required to prepay the fee. He may pay by check or money order payable to Clerk, United States District Court. Failure to comply by November 24, 2025, will result in summary dismissal of this case. Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation #4 is denied, as well. He asserts that he contacted "several att" and "[n]o one will accept [his] plea," but the court requires more specific information showing that he made a reasonable attempt to obtain counsel on his own. See Balle v. Kennedy, 73 F.4th 545, 559 (7th Cir. 2023) (explaining that first step in determining whether to recruit counsel for an indigent litigant is to ask whether the litigant "made a reasonable attempt to obtain counsel on his own" or was precluded from doing so). The court defers review of Plaintiff's complaint under 28 U.S.C. 1915A until after he has complied with this order.
