MINUTE entry before the Honorable Michael F. Iasparro: Defendant has filed an opposed Motion to Stay Discovery #23 , seeking to stay all discovery pending a ruling on Defendant's motion to dismiss #20 . Because Defendant's motion to dismiss raises lack of subject matter jurisdiction as a basis for dismissal, a potentially case-dispositive argument, the Court finds that a temporary stay of discovery is warranted. See In re Clearview AI, Inc. Consumer Privacy Litig., No. 21 C 135, 2021 WL 5862495 (N.D. Ill. Aug. 31, 2021); Pfizer Inc. v. Apotex Inc., 640 F. Supp. 2d 1006 (N.D. Ill. 2009); DeBoard v. BH Urban Station, LLC, No. 1:22-CV-02160-RLY-KMB, 2023 WL 1363346 (S.D. Ind. Jan. 30, 2023). Defendant's Motion to Stay Discovery #23 is granted. All discovery in this matter is stayed pending a ruling on Defendant's motion to dismiss. The in-person hearing scheduled for 4/9/2026 is stricken. Mailed notice. (vk)
