Filing 7 ORDER denying #6 Motion for Leave to File: Plaintiff states that he would like to amend his complaint to add additional parties and/or claims. However, Plaintiff failed to submit a proposed amended complaint. Pursuant to SDIL LR 15.1, a plaintiff seeking to amend his complaint must submit a proposed amended complaint to the Court for consideration. Should Plaintiff seek to amend his complaint in the future, he should do so using the form complaint as he did with his original complaint. Plaintiff is ADVISED that the Court will not accept piecemeal amendments to the original complaint. An amended complaint supersedes and replaces the original complaint. See Flannery v. Recording Indus. Ass'n of Am., 354 F.3d 632, 638 n. 1 (7th Cir. 2004). Thus, any amended complaint must stand on its own, without reference to any previous pleading. Signed by Judge J. Phil Gilbert on 10/10/2018. (dsw)THIS TEXT ENTRY IS AN ORDER OF THE COURT. NO FURTHER DOCUMENTATION WILL BE MAILED. |
