ORDER: In the request for relief section of the Complaint (Doc. #1 ), Plaintiff states he needs to see a doctor and needs medical help. Throughout the Complaint, Plaintiff alleges there is some urgency to his current situation. To the extent Plaintiff is seeking preliminary injunctive relief for medical care, he does not indicate that any of the named Defendants have denied him needed medical care or describe what medical care he seeks. Further, Plaintiff did not file a separate motion under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65(a) and did not set forth the reasons he is entitled to preliminary injunctive relief. If Plaintiff wishes to pursue preliminary injunctive relief for medical care, he must file a separate motion for preliminary injunction by December 2, 2019. ORDER: In the Complaint (Doc. #1 ), Plaintiff requests an emergency order compelling the Illinois Department of Corrections to release him from confinement. The United States Supreme Court has long held that the sole federal remedy for a state prisoner who is challenging the fact or duration of his physical confinement and seeking immediate or speedier release from imprisonment is a writ of habeas corpus. Preiser v. Rodriguez, 411 U.S. 475, 500 (1973). Plaintiff brings this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 1983, and release from confinement is not an available remedy.
