ORDER TRANSFERRING CASE: Plaintiff alleges that after he was involved in a car accident his insurer, Traveler Metlife, refused to pay for the repair of his car. Plaintiff asserts Traveler Metlife lied, asserting his deductible was $1,000.00 rather than $500.00. To the extent that a viable and timely claim exists, Plaintiff does not demonstrate that the Southern District of Illinois is the proper forum for its resolution. This case has no apparent connection to this judicial district. Plaintiff lives in Joliet, Illinois and his claim is presumably based on events that occurred there. Consequently, this case is TRANSFERRED to the Northern District of Illinois pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1404. Resolution of Plaintiff's application to proceed in forma pauperis and his motion for counsel are left for the transferee court. Signed by Magistrate Judge Reona J. Daly on 8/19/2020. | Filing 2 NOTICE OF INITIAL ASSIGNMENT TO A U.S. MAGISTRATE JUDGE: This case has been randomly assigned to United States Magistrate Judge Reona J. Daly pursuant to Administrative Order No. 257. The parties are advised that their consent is required if the assigned Magistrate Judge is to conduct all further proceedings in the case, including trial and final entry of judgment pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 636(c) and Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 73.
