Filing 16 ORDER: This matter comes before the Court for case management purposes. Plaintiff did not pay a filing fee for this suit, but instead asked the Court to allow him to proceed in forma pauperis (Doc. 2). The Court has not yet ruled on Plaintiff's motion, but in the meantime, Plaintiff sought waivers of service from Defendants. Several Defendants executed their waivers and returned them to Plaintiff, giving those Defendants a deadline of 5/4/2021 to answer or otherwise respond to Plaintiff's Complaint (Docs. 7-14). For a case in which the plaintiff is proceeding in forma pauperis, the Court performs all duties related to service of process. 28 U.S.C. 1915(d). While the Court appreciates that Defendants have waived service, their deadline for filing an answer or otherwise responding to Plaintiff's Complaint will be set by the Court after ruling on Plaintiff's Motion to Proceed In Forma Pauperis. Defendants' answer deadline of 5/4/2021 is therefore terminated and will be reset once the Court conducts a review of Plaintiff's Complaint pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915(e)(2). Signed by Magistrate Judge Reona J. Daly on 4/23/2021. (lmo)THIS TEXT ENTRY IS AN ORDER OF THE COURT. NO FURTHER DOCUMENTATION WILL BE MAILED. |
