ORDER. On November 8, 2022, the parties filed a Joint Stipulation of Dismissal (Doc. #10 ). Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1)(A) permits dismissal without a court order by two methods: (i) the plaintiff files a notice of dismissal before the opposing party serves either an answer or a motion for summary judgment; or (ii) the plaintiff files a stipulation of dismissal signed by all parties who have appeared. In the instant case, Plaintiff has filed a stipulation of dismissal signed by the parties (Doc. 10). Given the procedural posture of the case, the Court need take no further action. The stipulation effected the dismissal of this suit without prejudice. See Nat'l Inspection & Repairs, Inc. v. George S. May Int'l. Co., 600 F.3d 878, 883 (7th Cir. 2010) ("Claims dismissed pursuant to Rule 41(a)(1) are complete on the dismissal without any action by the district judge."). ORDER granting #8 Joint Motion for Extension of Time. On October 4, 2022, Defendants removed this matter from the Illinois First Judicial Circuit Court (Doc. 1). As this removed matter is seemly concurrent to SDIL Case No. 22-cv-2159, the Court directed the parties to brief whether the consolidation of these two cases might be appropriate (Doc. 6). By their Joint Motion, the parties seek an extension of their briefing deadline to further analyze the propriety of consolidation. For good cause shown, the Motion (Doc. 8) is GRANTED.
