June 13, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 12 ORDER: On May 2, 2023, Petitioner Lenolis Muhammad-Curtis filed a petition for writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. 2241 in the Northern District of Illinois (Doc. #1 ). The following day, the case was transferred to this District Court. (Doc. #4 ). On May 4, 2023, the Court ordered Petitioner to submit the $5.00 filing fee or file a motion to proceed without prepayment of the filing fee within 30 days. (Doc. #10 ). The Court warned Petitioner that failure to pay the fee or submit the motion to proceed without prepayment of the filing fee by the deadline would result in the dismissal of this case for failure to prosecute. Further, on May 24, 2023, Petitioner was ordered, within 7 days, to either consent or decline consent to magistrate judge jurisdiction or face possible sanctions. (Doc. 11). To date, Petitioner has not paid the filing fee, has not filed a motion to proceed without prepayment of the filing fee, and has not filed the form regarding magistrate judge jurisdiction. As such, this action is DISMISSED without prejudice for failure to prosecute pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(b).
