ORDER regarding the parties' Joint Motion to Continue the Responsive Pleading Deadline and Current Court Deadlines. (Doc. 15). This case was initiated on June 28, 2024, and the parties' Joint Report is due on September 3, 2024. (Docs. 1 & 12). However, the parties now inform the Court in the Joint Motion that they intend to participate in a mediation on September 19, 2024, in an attempt to avoid significant efforts, time, and fees litigating the case. Therefore, they request that the Court stay all pending deadlines, including Defendant's responsive pleading deadline. Accordingly, for good cause shown, the Joint Motion is GRANTED and all deadlines are STAYED. The parties are DIRECTED to file a Joint Status Report on or before October 17, 2024, updating the Court on the outcome of the mediation and any ongoing settlement discussions. If the parties are unable to reach an agreement by that date, then they are DIRECTED to take the following action by October 28, 2024: (1) Defendant shall file a responsive pleading or motion; and (2) the parties shall submit a Joint Report of the Parties via email to [email protected].
