ORDER denying #8 Emergency Motion for Immediate Protective Order and Transfer. Plaintiff seeks emergency injunctive relief in the form of a court order "for protection and immediate transfer from Menard Correctional Center." (Doc. #8 ). He states he is in imminent danger of (1) serious physical harm from other inmates at Menard and (2) potential retaliation by Menard staff. (Id.). On the same day the Court received the Emergency Motion, Plaintiff also filed a notice informing the Court that he has been transferred to Pontiac Correctional Center. (Doc. #9 ). As the Seventh Circuit has observed, when "a prisoner who seeks injunctive relief for a condition specific to a particular prison is transferred out of that prison, the need for relief, and hence the prisoner's claim, become moot." Lehn v. Holmes, 364 F.3d 862, 871 (7th Cir. 2004). As Menard inmates and staff are no longer in a position to harm Plaintiff any longer, his request for emergency injunctive relief is moot and therefore DENIED. Signed by Judge Stephen P.
