ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE. Plaintiff filed his initial complaint on May 26, 2026. The Court noted that the complaint was not double-spaced as required by SDIL-LR 5.1(a), and ordered him to file an amended complaint, on or before June 26, 2026, that fixes this deficiency (Doc. 7). Plaintiff timely filed an amended complaint, but it is not double-spaced. Accordingly, the Court ORDERS Plaintiff to SHOW CAUSE on or before July 24, 2026, why this case should not be dismissed pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(b) for failure to obey a court order. Failure to respond in a timely manner to this order will result in dismissal of this action for lack of prosecution pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(b) and the Court's inherent authority to manage its docket. See In re Bluestein & Co., 68 F.3d 1022, 1025 (7th Cir. 1995). The filing of a second amended complaint that is double-spaced as required by SDIL-LR 5.1(a) shall be a satisfactory response to this order to show cause. Show Cause Response due by 7/24/2026.
