Filing 87 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPEARANCE by attorney Brittany C. Mehl as to All Plaintiffs (Mehl, Brittany) |
Filing 86 ORDER. The parties have filed a Fourth Joint Motion to Extend the Deadline to File Motion for Settlement Approval (Doc. 85). On May 17, 2021, the parties notified the court that they had settled this Fair Labor Standards Act collective action and Kansas Wage Payment Act class action. Since then, the parties have secured three extensions of time to file a Motion for Settlement Approval. Docs. 80, 82, 84. The parties explain that they have required the additional time to resolve settlement terms and finalize the language of a settlement agreement. They even have re-engaged a mediator to help them reach an agreement on outstanding terms of the settlement. Now, the parties seek another 45-day extension of time to file their Motion for Settlement Approval, explaining that they need the additional time to finalize the few outstanding settlement terms and prepare the motion for approval. For good cause shown, the court grants the Fourth Joint Motion to Extend the Deadline to File Motion for Settlement Approval (Doc. #85 ). But this open-ended approach must come to an end. Either the parties have reached a settlement or they have not. The parties must file their motion on or before January 13, 2022. The court anticipates granting no additional extensions, absent extraordinary circumstances. Signed by District Judge Daniel D. Crabtree on 11/30/2021. (This is a TEXT ENTRY ONLY. There is no.pdf document associated with this entry.) (mig) |
