Filing 22 ORDER Regarding #20 Motion to Stay Discovery. Because discovery is not yet open, the Court construes the motion as a motion to defer entry of an Initial Order setting a scheduling conference and imposing a deadline for the parties' Fed. R. Civ. P. 26(f) meeting, which would trigger the opening of discovery. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 26(d)(1) ("A party may not seek discovery from any source before the parties have conferred as required by Rule 26(f), except in a proceeding exempted from initial disclosure under Rule 26(a)(1)(B), or when authorized by these rules, by stipulation, or by court order."). The Court expedites briefing on the motion. If Plaintiffs do not oppose the motion, they shall notify the Magistrate Judge's chambers via email (ksd_schwartz_chambers@ksd.uscourts.gov) on or before December 2, 2022. Otherwise, Plaintiffs' response brief shall be filed on or before December 6, 2022, and is limited to five double-spaced pages. Defendants' reply brief shall be filed on or before December 9, 2022, and is limited to two double-spaced pages. Signed by Magistrate Judge Rachel E. Schwartz on 11/30/2022.
