ORDER regarding #8 Defendant's Response to the Court's Order to Show Cause and granting #8 Motion for Leave to Amend Notice of Removal. The Court previously ordered Defendant to show cause in writing by November 20, 2023, why the Magistrate Judge should not recommend that the District Judge remand this case for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. Defendant responded to the show-cause order on November 8, 2023, and filed its #10 Rule 7.1(a)(2) disclosure statement on November 14, 2023. As ordered by the Court, ECF No. 6, Plaintiff also filed a #7 Rule 7.1(a)(2) disclosure statement. The Court has reviewed Defendant's response, Defendant's disclosure statement, and Plaintiff's disclosure statement and believes they sufficiently address the Court's jurisdictional concerns regarding the citizenship of the parties. For this reason, the Magistrate Judge will not recommend that the District Judge remand this case for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. The Court also grants Defendant's request to amend its #1 Notice of Removal and directs Defendant to file its Amended Notice of Removal (ECF No. 8-1) on or before November 21, 2023.
