NOTICE AND ORDER: Defendant Foremost Insurance Company Grand Rapids, Michigan removed this case to this Court on 10/18/2023, alleging subject matter jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. 1332. The #1 Notice of Removal and Plaintiff's Petition (R. Doc. 1-2) adequately alleges the citizenship of the parties, who appear to be diverse, as Plaintiff is alleged to be a Louisiana citizen and Defendant is alleged to be incorporated and have its principal place of business in Michigan. In support of amount in controversy, the Notice of Removal relies on the Plaintiff's damages estimate of $77,719.27, plus demands for penalties and fees. R. Doc. 1, para. 6; R. Doc. 1-3.
