MEMORANDUM ORDER re #8 Amended Complaint filed by G S Hospitality L L C. GS has filed an amended complaint (Doc. 8) in which it alleges that GS has one member, Mr. Brach, who is a citizen of California. The amended complaint specifies that Zurich is a corporation organized under Illinois law "with its United States headquarters in the State of Illinois." The amended complaint does not appear to allege with specificity the state in which Zurich has its principal place of business. Based on the allegation in the original complaint that it is in Illinois, the court will assume that to be the case. If Zurich disagrees with the characterization of its citizenship, it must raise the matter with specificity in its answer or other original response to the complaint. Accordingly, the court finds that subject matter jurisdiction exists pursuant to 28 U.S.C. sections 1332. This finding is preliminary and may be reconsidered sua sponte or on appropriate motion.
