TEXT ONLY ORDER : As conveyed to the parties via email correspondence on October 3, 2023, a Case Management Conference will be held in person on October 18, 2023 at 1:30 pm in Courtroom 6D before Magistrate Judge LaKeysha Greer Isaac. No later than five (5) days prior to the conference, the parties are to submit a confidential memorandum (3 page maximum) (via email to Isaac_chambers@mssd.uscourts.gov) setting forth a brief explanation of the case, and a candid appraisal of the respective positions, including possible settlement figures. Counsel will also furnish in their memorandum a good-faith estimate of the expense of carrying the litigation through trial and the appellate process, if not settled, and will have discussed these costs with their respective clients. These memoranda are not to be exchanged and will be viewed only by the Court. Further, these memoranda shall not be filed with the Clerk of Court. Do not mail a separate copy.Within the same five (5) days prior to the CMC, counsel shall submit a proposed case management order to the judge only. This submission shall not be filed with the Clerk of Court. At the case management conference, the parties shall be prepared to discuss a proposed Case Management Order (CMO), including but not limited to the following specific matters: 1.Identification of any pre-discovery or preliminary discovery desired, the purposes for which said discovery is sought, and the timing of same; 2.
