Date Filed Document Text
March 14, 2019 Filing 74 MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Chief Judge Gloria M. Navarro on 3/14/2019. Before the Court is the #73 Amended Proposed Order filed by Catrina James, seeking release of funds currently held in a Blocked Account overseen by the Court in order to transfer the funds into a Blocked Guardianship Account managed by Catrina James and overseen by the Clark County, Nevada Guardianship Court under case G-18-050359-A. However, the #73 Amended Proposed Order does not specify the account information for either blocked accounts, nor does it provide an Order appointing Catrina James as guardian with authority over the account. Thus, the Court cannot properly authorize or execute a transfer of funds with the relevant accounts. Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Catrina James shall file, under seal, an addendum to the #73 Amended Proposed Order that includes Catrina James's petition for guardianship with the Clark County, Nevada Guardianship Court, the Order granting that petition and authorizing Catrina James as guardian over the funds, and all necessary banking account information to execute transfer of the funds to the Guardianship Account under case G-18-050359-A. However, the Court already granted a direct transfer of those funds to the Clark County Guardianship Court on December 17, 2018. (Order, ECF No. 70). Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Catrina James shall file a supplemental brief not to exceed ten pages explaining why the Court's prior Order should be amended by releasing funds directly to Catrina James rather than to the Clark County Guardianship Court under case G-18-050359-A. Alternatively, Catrina James may file an amended version of the #71 proposed Order that seeks a direct transfer of funds from the Blocked Account overseen by the Court to the Guardianship Account under case G-18-050359-A.(Copies have been distributed pursuant to the NEF - KK)
