May 15, 2020 Filing 11 MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Magistrate Judge Brenda Weksler on 5/15/2020. The Court's order setting Early Neutral Evaluation (ENE) requires the in-person attendance of all participants. However, in light of recent health events, any attorney or other participant must not appear for the ENE if he or she feels sick. See, e.g., Gen. Order 2020-02 (addressing courthouse entrance restrictions). Further, the Court is willing to waive the in-person attendance requirement for any participant who has other concerns related to being physically present, or traveling by flight, for the ENE. If any participant desires to appear for the ENE via videoconference or telephone, counsel need only contact judicial clerk David Chavez at: david_chavez@nvd.uscourts.gov; or (702) 464-5570. If any participant attends the ENE in person, they are advised that the ENE is a court proceeding and they are therefore generally "required to wear a face covering, to the extent practical and where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain." See Gen. Order 2020-08. The Court will provide face coverings for those who come to the courthouse for court-related business, "provided the Court has a sufficient supply." Id. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own personal protective equipment. Finally, instead of submitting their confidential ENE statements by physical delivery to Judge Weksler's chambers, the parties must electronically submit their statements to david_chavez@nvd.uscourts.gov. No physical copies will be accepted. (no image attached) (Copies have been distributed pursuant to the NEF - DCh)
