March 12, 2024 Filing 15 MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Magistrate Judge Daniel J. Albregts on 3/12/2024. Re: #14 Joint Discovery Plan. Having reviewed the parties' joint discovery plan, the Court notes that it has a number of deficiencies. First, it does not request special scheduling review as required by Local Rule 26-1(a) and Local Rule 26-1(b)(1) despite seeking a discovery period counted from the Rule 26(f) conference and not from the date the first defendant answered or otherwise appeared. Second, the parties' deadlines are miscalculated. Third, the parties include a joint status report deadline even though the Local Rules were amended four years ago to remove that deadline. Fifth, the parties refer to Local Rule 26-4 regarding extensions even though the Local Rules were amended four years ago such that Local Rule 26-3 governs extensions. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the parties' joint discovery plan is DENIED without prejudice. The parties must file a renewed joint discovery plan on or before March 19, 2024.
