Domond v. New York State Department Of Corrections
A sibling sues the New York State Department of Corrections, alleging that it can't call her jailed brother an 'inmate' "because it implies that our brother is locked up for the purpose of mating with other men." She seeks $50 million in her lawsuit, claiming that the term 'inmate' makes him a victim of "Character Defamation / Malicious Negligence / Mental anguish imposed by a Government entity upon its residents." [sic]
