Filing 4 MEMORANDUM AND ORDER: Plaintiff's 2 request to proceed in forma pauperis is granted pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1915, and his complaint is allowed to proceed with respect to a single claim against the defendant police officer. Only plaintiff's Fourth Amendment claim for unreasonable seizure against Freeland may proceed. All of plaintiff's other claims are dismissed. The Clerk of Court shall amend the case caption to reflect the dismissal of all defendants except Fr eeland. The United States Marshals Service is directed to serve the summons and complaint upon Freeland without prepayment of fees. The case is referred to the Honorable Lois Bloom, United States Magistrate Judge, for pretrial supervision. The Court certifies pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1915(a)(3) that any appeal from this Order would not be taken in good faith and therefore in forma pauperis status is denied for purpose of an appeal. SO ORDERED by Judge Allyne R. Ross, on 7 /22/2013. C/mailed to pro se Plaintiff. (Parties: Sheldon Dorn; State of New York Department of Motor Vehicles Appeal Board; New York City Police Department; and Associated Reporters International Inc. - terminated.)
