Filing 6 ORDER: Plaintiff's #2 application to proceed in forma pauperis under 28 U.S.C. 1915 is granted. The United States Marshals Service is directed to serve the summons and complaint upon the named defendants without prepayment of fees. Plaintiff brings this case against six John Doe police officers from the New York City Police Department who allegedly took part in plaintiff's unlawful stop and search, false arrest, and malicious prosecution. Pursuant to Valentin v. Dinkins, 121 F.3d 72 (2d Cir. 1997) (per curiam), the Court hereby directs the Office of the Corporation Counsel to identify these officers and provide addresses for service of process by 7/19/2019. The Office of the Corporation Counsel need not undertake to defend or indemnify these individuals at this juncture. This Order merely provides a means by which these individuals may be identified and properly served. The parties shall advise the Court by signing the enclosed form whether they jointly consent to trial and decision on this case by me, a United States Magistrate Judge, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 636(c).
