Filing 8 ORDER dated 9/18/19 that plaintiff is enjoined from filing any further actions in the Eastern District of New York without first obtaining leave of Court. The Clerk is directed to open a miscellaneous matter entitled In re Adil Khalil, and file a copy of this order under that docket number. The matter is then to be administratively closed. Any further filings by plaintiff shall be filed only under that miscellaneous docket. The Court certifies pursuant to 28:1915(a)(3) that any appeal would not be taken in good faith and therefore in forma pauperis status is denied for the purpose of an appeal. See Coppedge v. United States, 369 U.S. 438, 444-45 (1962). ( Ordered by Judge Brian M. Cogan on 9/18/2019 ) c/m (Guzzi, Roseann) |
Filing 7 ORDER dated 9/12/19 that this motion is denied. First, the case has been dismissed, and a party cannot get a preliminary injunction in a case that has been dismissed. Second, the motion does not demonstrate a likelihood of success on the merits of the case or substantial questions as to the merits, nor does it demonstrate irreparable harm. Even if plaintiff had succeeded on the merits of his claims, money damages would have been sufficient compensation. In forma pauperis is denied for purposes of appeal since an appeal of this Order would not be in good faith. re #6 Motion, filed by Adil Khalil. ( Ordered by Judge Brian M. Cogan on 9/12/2019 ) c/m (Guzzi, Roseann) |
