Date Filed Document Text
November 8, 2019 Opinion or Order Filing 6 RESPONSE TO ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE by Joseph Mike. (Herrera, Isaiah)
October 18, 2019 Opinion or Order Filing 5 ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE: The Court grants Plaintiff's #2 application to proceed in forma pauperis pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915(a) for the purpose of this Order. Plaintiff's request for the return of seized money appears to be time-barred. Accordingly, the Court directs Plaintiff to show cause within thirty days of the date of this Order why the #1 Complaint should not be dismissed as time-barred. If Plaintiff fails to show cause why the Complaint should not be dismissed, the Court will dismiss this action as time-barred. The Court certifies pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915(a)(3) that any appeal from this Order would not be taken in good faith and therefore denies in forma pauperis status for the purpose of an appeal. SO ORDERED by Judge Margo K. Brodie, on 10/18/2019. C/mailed. (Latka-Mucha, Wieslawa)
