ORDER: The Court is in receipt of defendant Rubie's Costume Company, Inc.'s letter at #6 notifying the Court that Rubie's Costume Company filed a chapter 11 bankruptcy petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York on April 30, 2020. See 8:2020-bk-71970. Under 11 U.S.C. 362(a), the filing of certain bankruptcy petitions operates as a stay of any judicial action or proceeding against the debtor that was commenced before the bankruptcy proceedings began. This matter is therefore stayed against Rubie's Costume Company until further notice. Rubie's Costume Company shall file a status report regarding the bankruptcy proceedings by July 15, 2020.
