July 20, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 6 ORDER. By Order dated May 18, 2020, Southern District Chief Judge Colleen McMahon transferred the action to the Eastern District of New York (the "Transfer Order"). (Transfer Order, Docket Entry No. 2.) In the Transfer Order, Judge McMahon noted that Petitioner failed to pay the five-dollar filing fee or to request permission to proceed in forma pauperis ("IFP"). (Id. at 4 n.2.) After the action was transferred to the Eastern District of New York, by letter dated June 5, 2020, Petitioner was provided with an IFP application and directed to complete the application and return it to the Court or pay the five-dollar filing fee within fourteen (14) days. (See Letter dated June 3, 2020, Docket Entry No. 5.)More than fourteen (14) days have passed, and Petitioner has failed to respond. However, in light of Petitioner's pro se status and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Court sua sponte extends the deadline an additional thirty (30) days, until August 19, 2020, in order to allow Petitioner an opportunity to comply. The Clerk of Court is directed to send a copy of this Order along with an IFP application to Petitioner at the address of record. If Petitioner fails to comply with this Order within thirty (30) days, the action will be dismissed without prejudice. No extension shall be granted without good cause shown.
