November 5, 2020 Opinion or Order ORDER: The Court held the initial conference in this action on November 4, 2020, by telephone. Attorney Lori Quinn appeared for defendant Collecto, Inc.; plaintiff appeared pro se. As discussed on the record, the Court grants plaintiff's request to proceed without prepayment of fees or costs. See ECF No. 2. The Court shall hold a telephone status conference in this action on December 2, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. The parties shall call the Chambers telephone conference line at (888) 363-4734 and use the access code 4444221 promptly at 10:30 a.m. The Court defers setting a discovery schedule, however, defendant's counsel is directed to provide plaintiff with the documents and recordings discussed on the record. The parties are strongly encouraged to discuss settlement of this matter. If the parties reach a settlement in principle, defendant's counsel shall file a letter informing the Court by November 30, 2020, and the December 2, 2020, conference will be cancelled. Parties are advised that they must contact each other before making any request for an adjournment to the Court. Any request for an adjournment must be filed with the Court no later than November 30, 2020. Defendant's counsel is directed to email a copy of this Order to plaintiff forthwith as a courtesy.
