ORDER granting in part #19 . Defendants can have until 7/22/2021 to answer because the answer will be of little to no use in planning discovery in this case, but defendants have demonstrated insufficient grounds to adjourn the Initial Status Conference. This is a straightforward FLSA case and by the time of the conference, defense counsel will have had five weeks to investigate the case. That should be more than sufficient. As far as settlement, if they want to settle, they can do it in the same time frame. The parties are expected to comply with the requirements for the Initial Status Conference and they can expect to be placed on a prompt discovery and trial schedule at the conference.
