ORDER: On 8/5/2022, the Court set a briefing schedule for Defendant's motion to dismiss and Plaintiff's motion to remand. According to that schedule, the parties were asked not to file their motion papers until the motion has been fully briefed on 10/20/2022. The parties were scheduled to serve on each other their respective opening briefs on 9/6/2022. The Court's schedule also directed parties to file as a letter on ECF (not as a motion) a copy of their cover letters "setting forth whom the movant represents and the papers being served." ORDER: Having reviewed Plaintiff's #9 Motion for Pre Motion Conference and the #13 letter in response submitted by Defendant Uber Technologies Inc. ("Uber"), the Court has determined a pre-motion conference is unnecessary. The Court now adopts the parties' proposed briefing schedule for Uber's motion to dismiss and Plaintiff's motion to remand: both motions to be served by 9/6/2022; opposition briefs to be served by 10/6/2022; and reply briefs to be served by 10/20/2022. As a courtesy to the Court, the parties are encouraged not to file their motion papers until the motion has been fully briefed. If the parties follow this practice, the motion and all supporting papers are to be served on the other party along with a cover letter setting forth whom the movant represents and the papers being served. On the day the papers are served, only a copy of the cover letter should be filed on the docket, as a letter, not as a motion.
