ORDER: The #14 "Stipulation to Extend Time to Answer" filed by Plaintiff and Defendant Sostences Rivera is deficient for several reasons, and cannot be accepted by the Court. First, Attorney Joseph DePaola has not entered an notice of appearance, so he cannot submit a stipulation on behalf of Defendant Rivera. Second, the #14 "stipulation" confusingly describes itself to be a "Notice of Appearance." However, a stipulation and notice of appearance must be filed separately. Finally, this document is not the appropriate way to seek extensions of time. As stated clearly in paragraph 1.G of this Court's Individual Practices and Rules, "all requests for adjournments or enlargement of time must be in writing and state: (i) The original date; (ii) The number of previous requests for adjournment or enlargement; (iii) Whether these previous requests were granted or denied; and (iv) Whether the adversary consents, and, if not, the reasons given by the adversary for refusing to consent."
