MINUTE ORDER: Fairness hearing via telephone held on 8/10/2023 before Magistrate Judge James R. Cho. Attorney Peter Hans Cooper appeared on behalf of plaintiff. Plaintiff was heard on the motion #19 for settlement approval. Having reviewed the proposed Settlement Agreement #19 and the related submissions, this Court finds pursuant to Cheeks v. Freeport Pancake House, Inc., 796 F.3d 199 (2d Cir. 2015), that the settlement amount and payment plan are fair and reasonable, that the release is appropriately limited to wage and hour claims, and that the attorney's fees are reasonable. See Wolinsky v. Scholastic Inc., 900 F. Supp. 2d 332, 335-36 (S.D.N.Y. 2012). Accordingly, the Motion for Settlement #19 is granted and the Settlement Agreement is approved.
