ORDER: The Court is in receipt of Plaintiff's letter requesting "the deadlines... to file a joint docket letter and completed case management plan be extended." The Court grants the parties an extension. The deadline for the parties to file their Case Management Plan and Joint Letter is now July 17, 2023. On or before July 3, 2023, Plaintiff shall file a letter no longer than three pages, describing Plaintiff's efforts to serve Plaintiff's complaint and a summons on Defendants. If Plaintiff fails to file the letter required by this order, or if Plaintiff's letter demonstrates a lack of diligence in attempting service, then the Court is unlikely to extend the deadline for Plaintiff to complete service under Rule 4(m) in the absence of unusual circumstances demonstrating good cause. The Court cautions that it does not consider settlement negotiations good cause to delay service.The Court additionally cautions the parties that it will not further postpone the parties' deadline to file the Joint Letter and Case Management Plan until after Defendants' deadline to answer or otherwise respond to Plaintiff's complaint because the Court does not need Defendants' answer to set a discovery schedule.
