Date Filed Document Text
October 23, 2023 Filing 4 CLERK'S JUDGMENT dated 10/23/23 that these fifty-eight complaints are dismissed as frivolous pursuant to 28:1915(e)(2)(B)(i); that pursuant to 28:1915(a)(3) that any appeal from this Order would not be taken in good faith; and that in forma pauperis status is denied for the purpose of an appeal. Coppedge v. United States, 369 U.S. 438, 444-45 (1962). ( Ordered by Jalitza Poveda, Deputy Clerk on behalf of Brenna B. Mahoney Clerk of Court on 10/23/2023 ) c/m (RG)
October 19, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 3 MEMORANDUM AND ORDER. The fifty-eight complaints are dismissed as frivolous pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915(e)(2)(B)(i). While pro se plaintiffs are ordinarily granted leave to amend if "the complaint gives any indication that a valid claim might be stated," Dolan v. Connolly, 794 F.3d 290, 295 (2d Cir. 2015), leave to amend "may properly be denied if the amendment would be futile." Grullon v. Cty. of New Haven, 720 F.3d 133, 140 (2d Cir. 2013). These complaints are meritless, and leave to amend would be futile. The Court certifies pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915(a)(3) that any appeal from this Order would not be taken in good faith and therefore in forma pauperis status is denied for the purpose of an appeal. The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to enter judgment in each case, to close these fifty-eight cases, to mail copy of this Order to the plaintiff and to note the mailing on the docket. Ordered by Judge Ann M. Donnelly on 10/18/2023. (DG)
