In light of this, and because "a substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the claim or claims occurred in Nassau or Suffolk County," the Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to reassign this case via random selection to a judge in Central Islip, consistent with the Court's rules. ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE: Following review of the complaint herein, the Court finds that the allegations suggest that "a substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the claim or claims occurred in Nassau or Suffolk County." Rules for the Division of Business for the Eastern District of New York, Rule 1(d)(3)(B). Accordingly, Plaintiff's counsel is directed to file a letter by close of business on 11/15/2023 that (1) states with specificity counsel's basis for representing on the cover sheet of this action that it did not arise in Nassau or Suffolk Counties, given the allegations in the complaint, and (2) addresses whether the matter should be reassigned via random selection to a judge in Central Islip.
