| Filing 10 Minute Entry for proceedings held before Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo. Initial Conference held by telephone on January 19, 2024. Joseph Katz, Esq. appeared on behalf of plaintiff. Daniel Schwartz, Esq. appeared on behalf of defendants. Plaintiff indicated that he intends to amend his complaint to add a defendant. Defendants did not object, and the Court granted leave to file an amended complaint no later than February 16, 2024. The attached Scheduling Order was entered setting deadlines for discovery and other pretrial proceedings. The parties are directed to file a joint status report by February 27, 2024 reporting on the progress of discovery and settlement discussions. If the parties would like a referral to court-annexed mediation or a settlement conference with the Court, they should file a joint request.The parties are reminded that if all parties consent, a United States magistrate judge may conduct all proceedings in this civil action including trial.
