ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE: for the reasons discussed in the attached Order, Plaintiff is directed to Show Cause, by October 18, 2024, why this action should not be dismissed. See Catzin v. Thank You & Good Luck Corp., 899 F.3d 77, 8283 (2d Cir. 2018); Nwoye v. Obama, No. 22-1253, 2023 WL 382950, at *1 (2d Cir. Jan. 25, 2023) (summary order) ("The issuance, for example, of an order to show cause why a complaint should not be dismissed sua sponte for a stated reason, will typically suffice to provide notice and an opportunity to be heard.") If Plaintiff fails to respond or fails to show good cause for why this case should proceed, the action shall be dismissed as set forth herein, and judgment shall be entered. All further proceedings are stayed. Although Plaintiff paid the filing fee to commence this action, the Court certifies pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915(a)(3) that any appeal would not be taken in good faith and therefore in forma pauperis status is denied for the purpose of any appeal. Coppedge v. United States, 369 U.S. 438, 44445 (1962). The Clerk of Court is directed to mail a copy of this Order to Show Cause to Plaintiff, and to note the mailing on the docket.
