Petitioner has failed to point to any state court ruling that was contrary to, or an unreasonable application of, clearly established federal law, or that resulted in a decision that was based on an unreasonable determination of the facts in light of the evidence presented in the state court proceeding. Thus, he has demonstrated no basis for habeas relief under 28 U.S.C. § 2254, and the Court finds this petition to be without merit. Therefore, the petition for a wri t of habeas corpus is denied. Because petitioner has failed to make a substantial showing of a denial of a constitutional right, no certificate of appealability shall issue. See 28 U.S.C. § 2253(c)(2). The Clerk of the Court shall enter judgment accordingly and close this case. Ordered by Judge Joseph F. Bianco on 4/24/2015. (Moe, Alison)
