ORDER re: #17 . Request denied. Because of case load allocation issues, the Chief Judge of this Court has determined that some Long Island cases will be randomly assigned to Brooklyn judges. That is what happened with case 3326, and then 3327 was reassigned to the undersigned as a related case. This will result in no inconvenience to the parties, as all pretrial proceedings will be held by video or audio, or, if in-court appearance is necessary, that appearance will be scheduled before the undersigned in Central Islip. Similarly, when the case is tried, it will be tried in the Central Islip courthouse before the undersigned. In other words, for all purposes, these cases will proceed as Long Island cases. This Court does not maintain judicial divisions as in some other districts and any District Judge of this Court can hear both Brooklyn and Long Island cases. In addition, any future requests for relief from the Court should be designated as a letter "motion" on ECF so that it shows up on the Court's pending motion reports. Do not refile.
